Elsie x Tarn born 1st June 2010

  X

These puppies now all have wonderful homes thank you!  We have also received all the DNA test results and only 2 of the puppies are carriers for CEA which is an excellent statistic!

Week 7!  Puppies are starting to go to their new homes.  At the moment - peace reigns!

Bryn has a home and will be called Bryn!

Bolt has a home and will be called Lundy.   He has had quite an adventurous start to life - he needed to have his head cut out of a watering can soon after arriving at this new home - but was apparently not at all fazed by the experience!

Tank now has a wonderful home where he will be known as Kai and he will be doing Working Trials.

He is just too gorgeous !

Ant has a home where he will be called Buddy!  I think he will be a great Buddy.

Chance has a home where he will be called Sonny.

Dee is staying at Snowmere

Dec has a home where he will be called Mac

Sweep has a home

Fifi says "Bye"

in her new home...called Wyn!  She will be doing obedience.

Week 6 - Puppies have had their eye and hearing tests - all clear!

Week 5 - how time flies!  Elsie is such a good mum - still feeding them

well OK not for long, but, occasionally anyway!  Elsie off for some 'me' time.

Some of the puppies are really starting to show the characteristics of the parents!  This is Dee - she is staying at Snowmere where she will compete with her dad for possession of the toybox!

Individual portraits...

Bryn not being very photogenic today - better in real life!

Week 4 - the pups make it outside!  They are doing really well, very fat, lively and adventurous.  Their personalities are really starting to show, and we know now which ones will be going to competitive and experienced homes!  Tarn has lost the battle to keep control of the toys though unfortunately - lucky he's such a lovely boy!

Elsie puts on outside catering

Bryn

Bolt - looks like he's limbering up for the long jump.....

Oh no - it's the water jump!

Tank

Ant

Chance

Dee

Dec

Sweep

Fifi

Week 3 - the pups are really motoring about now and have started to pretend to eat rice pudding - however the evidence is smeared all over them in these photos that mum is feeding them far too well and most rice pudding is used as decoration.  Tarn looks slightly worried about his child maintenance payments here...

Puppies chorus "Hello Daddy!"
Tarn worries "I'd better hide my toys"

Dog 1 - Bryn (I can't see it yet - Juliet swears there a funny tinge....)

Dog 2 - Bolt aka Harry Potter

Dog 3 - Mini me aka Tank

Dog 4 - Ant

Dog 5 - Chance

Bitch 1 - Dee the adventurer.  Thanks to Dee the front of the box has now been opened - release those puppies!

Dog 6 - Dec

Dog 7 - Sweep (also showing signs of brindle apparently...)

Bitch 2 - Fifi Trixabelle (still so sweet)

The pups are so huge that Elsie can't fit them all in underneath her for a feed - one puppy (Tank) has found a novel way of getting around that problem....

Week 2 - What a difference a week makes!  The puppies are now enormous and have their eyes open, they are all moving about and interacting a lot so it took a lot of photographic skill to capture these pictures....well done Juliet!

Elsie is now matched in size by the mass of puppies

The full litter - never still!  Poor Fifi, being thrown backwards by Tank.

Individual shots....

Dog 1 - Bryn (Juliet still swears he is going to be Brindle)

Dog 2 -
Bolt - aka Harry Potter - he has a lightening flash at the back of his neck

Dog 3 - Mini me is a Tank, so he is named one!

Dog 4
- Ant - his collar is slightly left (goto Dog 6 to make sense of this!)

Dog 5
- Chance - Sandy (consultant midwife) wanted to call one Chance.....

Bitch 1
- Dee - because Juliet says so!

Dog 6
- Dec - his collar is slightly right (gettit?) - overseas readers - we can explain!

Dog 7
- Sweep - cos he is very dark

Bitch 2
- Fifi (trixabelle) - as she is so sweet

The pups are now a week old and Elsie is doing a great job with them as you can see they are looking pretty fat!  We now only have dog pups left.

Elsie gave birth to NINE puppies between 2pm and 10pm.  Seven dogs and Two bitches, all black tricolour, all healthy, lively and gorgeous!
She had an easy whelping, and Elsie and pups are all doing really well - very lively pups already, motoring around the box.  Elsie is doing a great job of feeding them and keeping them clean, they are very content puppies.

Juliet is in shock, we were expecting 5 or 6 pups, by dog 5 she was worried she wouldn't get her much awaited bitch, but Elsie obliged and then went on to give her a choice!

Dog 1 - had some funny stripes when he was born and Juliet insists he is some funny colour (his great g-ma is brindle) but to me they just look like black tris!

Dog 2 - dark faced boy - motors round the box! (hence the blurred photo!)

Dog 3 - Tarn's mini-me.  A big boy!

Dog 4 - slightly smaller than the rest - the last of the first batch before Elsie stopped for Tea!

Dog 5 - bit of a beast this one!

Bitch 1 - very prettily marked with almost a full white collar

Dog 6 - smart blaze and white legs

Dog 7 - the dark destroyer.  A very dark gorgeous boy - very athletic already!

Bitch 2 - very pretty with very flashy back legs

Elsie with all her pups looking very content
